Dress Code

We want you to feel like yourself; there are no rules on colours or outfit types. Come in something that makes you feel confident, comfortable, and celebration-ready.

For the wedding, Aayu will wear a saree and Dan a daura suruwal. Guests often wear saris, daura suruwals, kurta sets, or festive attire in vibrant colours. For the reception, Aayu will be in a lehenga and Dan in a three-piece suit, with guests typically opting for festive or dressy outfits (many go all out, especially for the reception).

If you’d like to embrace the setting, you’re very welcome to wear traditional Nepali or South Asian outfits—we would love to see you in them. If you’re interested and not sure where to start, feel free to reach out to us—we’d be very happy to help. These outfits are easy to find once you’re in Nepal, so there’s no need to source anything in advance.

You’re equally welcome to wear something from your own culture, or anything you feel fits a festive, dressy vibe.
If in doubt, it’s always better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed at Nepali weddings :)

Practical note: It will likely be warm and possibly rainy, so breathable fabrics and comfortable footwear will go a long way.
